What to Pack

It is not necessary to take much to the Galapagos, so pack light.

  • Cotton pants
  • Shorts
  • T-shirts
  • Long sleeved shirts
  • A windbreaker or light sweater for evening or early morning
  • Hat, preferably that cover the ears
  • Sunscreen
  • Good walking shoes - sneakers will do
  • Tevas or sandals
  • Sunglasses (with strap)
  • Small backpack to carry on land excursions 
  • Camera
  • Plastic bags to keep your camera dry
  • Extra camera battery

  • Binoculars
  • Prescription medications (anything you might need on the cruise)
  • Seasickness remedies, if you are prone to sea sickness
  • Insect repellent
  • Books to read while onboard (we encourage book exchange)


  • Hair dryers are provided onboard
  • Snorkeling gear is provided at no extra cost
  • 3mm shortie wet suits are provided at no extra cost
  • If you wear prescription glasses, bring an extra pair
  • If you wear glasses, it is a good idea to bring contact lenses for snorkeling
